Free Fridays - Cook with Ashton, Colour with Me!

My good friend Ashton of Bash Bites is a magnificent cook. When she lived here in Hong Kong, I made sure to always live within 5 minutes of her house so that I could pop round to ‘test’ out her newest recipes, and was constantly in awe of how she could just whip us up some tasty snacks.

Now, she lives in the UK and I miss her and her food so much! We often would talk about possible ways to collaborate, usually over a glass of wine and some craft project that we had seen on Pinterest, whilst watching trashy girly TV.

Well, now she is confined to her home in the UK, and I have a lot of free time on my hands here in HK. We decided it was finally time to action a project together. We will be making a book, with her recipes, and my design and illustrations. Arabella lends her writing finesse to the project - she loves nothing more than playing with words. An educator, bookworm, word geek and yoga teacher who loves to ponder and muse on all aspects of life and attempts to write about it.

Writing a book though, takes time! So, whilst we bake up this project together, we will be releasing some teasers. These will be in the form of downloadable recipe sheets… and if you are home with the kids, some kids colouring sheets related to the dish that will keep them occupied whilst you create in the kitchen. This means you can share in the joy of cooking and being creative together.
